Being a parent is one of the most rewarding jobs we can have. For all the countless moments of pride like a first recital to graduating from high school, there are just as many tense and trying situations with our children Where It can be difficult to see any solution at all to the struggles. Much of parenting is learned and its okay to be uncomfortable, not know the best course of action, and be willing to ask questions. With over 40 years of experience in working with parents and their children of all walks of life (single, married, same sex couples, etc.) in both one-on-one and group sessions I am dedicated to helping you understand your children’s emotional and developmental needs at all stages, helping you learn new skills as well as build on the strengths you already possess.
The home is an extremely important aspect of a kid’s development growing up. Often, when strenuous or even destructive family dynamics emerge much focus and care is put into helping the child cope within that situation, but I hope to change the dynamic at its foundation. I specialize in differentiating between your conscious and unconscious actions as well as their outcomes. Working Together I can show you how to intentionally teach your children the right things, and not accidentally teach them the wrong things. In addition to a changing pattern of thought I can teach new skills in communication, both how to make impactful statements and genuinely listen.
